Help for the courses where college students struggle most

Intro chemistry, biology, physics and calculus are where many college students hit their first real wall. Avery is an AI study coach for exactly those courses, built by a former college professor. It's available at 2 a.m. and works from your student's own textbook.

What it does

  • Coaches instead of answering. Avery walks your student toward the answer with hints and checks their reasoning, so they learn to do the problem themselves.
  • Works from their course. It studies from their textbook, syllabus and notes, and cites the page each explanation came from.
  • Fills the gaps. Students often struggle because of something they've forgotten from an earlier course. Avery finds those gaps and gives short catch-up lessons.
  • Plans the week. A study planner puts assignments and exams for all their courses in one place.

Questions

Can I sign up for my student?

No. Your student signs up with their own .edu email address, so the account is theirs.

Can I see my student's progress?

Avery doesn't have parent accounts or reports for parents. Avery shows your student their own progress by topic, and they can show it to you if they choose.

What happens to my student's data?

Their coursework and their conversations with Avery are theirs. From their account settings they can request an archive of their data, which we email to them, or delete their account at any time. Full detail is in the Privacy Notice.

Isn't using AI for homework cheating?

Avery is built for learning, not for doing graded work: it gives hints instead of answers and cites the course materials. Your student's instructors set the rules for their courses. More on academic integrity.

Does it work for high school students?

Avery is built for introductory college courses, and signing up requires a college .edu email address.
